The Central American Bank for Economic Integration (BCIE) strengthens institutional transparency by implementing the IATI standard. The bank has begun the progressive publication of its operational information within the framework of the global IATI initiative. This process is carried out in strict compliance with its Information Access Policy and the best global practices in the development finance sector. To facilitate scrutiny and transparency, the bank has enabled various channels where interested parties can consult the disclosed information: the official IATI platform, the institutional web portal, specifically in its projects section, and the bank's Open Data platform. Through this initiative, BCIE seeks to optimize data analysis and informed decision-making by its member countries and strategic partners. With this step, the institution begins the progressive publication of its institutional and operational information, consolidating its policy of openness and access to public information. IATI represents a global initiative that promotes the timely, open, and comparable disclosure of data related to development financing. This framework allows academia, governments, civil society, and the general public to accurately identify the allocation and use of financial resources in the region. Commitment to international standards The Executive President of BCIE, Gisela Sánchez, stated that the adoption of this standard constitutes a milestone for strengthening transparency within the entity.
